Special guided tour
20-year anniversary of the Princely collections’ return to Vienna
THE RE-OPENING OF THE GARDEN PALACE IN 2004
The GARDEN PALACE Liechtenstein was transformed into one of Vienna’s first museums already in the 19thcentury. The tradition of presenting the Princely collections to the public was revived in 2004 after the restauration of the building and a nearly 70-year absence of the artworks. They had been relocated to Vaduz in 1938.
The special guided tours offer the opportunity to learn more about the history of the collections and the utilization of the Garden Palace during and after the second world war, as well as the revitalization of the palace and its garden between 2000 and 2004.
